Ketty Lester - Love Letters (Original)

Although this recording was actually made and released in 1961, it didn't become a hit until 1962 when some disc jockeys decided to flip the record over and begin playing the "B-side" of Ketty's release of "I'm A Fool To Want You". It's not the first time a "B-side" like "Love Letters" became the hit side, but it was very fortuitous for Ketty since she would never have another recording with the impact of this one. Ketty's "Love Letters" is a reworking of the 1945 hit by Dick Haymes, and it went all the way to #5 in March of 1962.
