In 2011, April Summers was the first "Next Top Model" discovery named by Nuts magazine, in which they published an exclusive interview and photo-shoot of her. April was voted second in a poll for Zoo magazine as the top model to look for in 2011. A full page photo and interview with her was included inside the mag and just recently April became Body-Rockin's cover girl for January. April has also been very lucky in having several featured articles about her in FHM, Maxim, American Playboy's The Smoking Jacket and numerous radio stations and magazines across the world. April appeared in the prestigious GQ Style magazine! During March 2011. She also was a regular face for leading weekly and monthly leading UK magazines. April is the Face of the prestigious jewellery brand The Golden Handcuff Co. April had also recently been named a featured International Playboy Playmate for Playboy USA.

The mainstream international press also printed articles and ran exclusive pictures of April during this time bringing her into the public eye around the world.

In December 2011 April was the Published Cover Model for People Magazine's Christmas Issue in Australia.

In February 2012 the single by June 1974 "Closer" Published by Areasonica Records featured April on the Cover. April appeared in two exclusive features for Maxim UK during April and May 2012 with Photographer Julia Underwood. During this time she shot and presented some Behind the Scenes features for Fashion TV including her shoot with Photographer Kristina Vassilieva and Vivienne Westwood'  Protege Designer Daniela Corcio for her label Ikonostas and later also with Fashion Designer Nina Naustdal for shoot of some of her exclusive stunning dress designs. June 2012 saw April's successful début into mainstream America with a Exclusive Pictorial and Interview for Maxim USA.  December 2012 saw April featured as Girl of the Day by Maxim Portugal.

The strong industry connections April has developed as a model are now assisting her in becoming an established face on television with many upcoming presenting gigs in store for her this year. With April's success within the UK as her foundation, April is currently making plans to expand globally. She will will be following up on the many offers received in the USA this upcoming year.
